Where has DeciJourney been?


Around September we on the team made a BIG deal about working on this game. Well, how's the work? Unfortunately not much. We've had to deal with problems in the real world such as school, health, other projects and the engine, too.

From since our work with -FUTURE- LOVELESS its been a battle to do things in Godot Engine without something going wrong, be it core features of the resident language GDScript all the way up to shader slowdowns, and we just cannot keep waiting for 4.0. So I decided we'd go ahead with the Raylib framework in the near future.

I know my way around it well enough to have actually made contributions to it 0_0 namely audio seeking which was required to make Falco's music work correctly. Whilst I'm currently working on enCount Too I've also entirely forked the framework to limit support to only Windows and Linux (platforms I can actually test games for) and add some helper functions.

We hope to resume development around December, specifically after the 11th as school will be over for me after that. We'll also keep you updated and I'll post some funny ENA-related art here and there. If there is interest I may even make a server where you can chat about the game and get updates/betas. It'll probably be Matrix-based due to serious issues with Discord.

Stay well though, we are starting to become a bit freer by the weeks and I'm giddy about maybe being able to chat with you about these things. Don't FORGET of course to follow all the amazing Newgrounds people involved in this:
